Add a new system document
The System Administrator is able to add
an entirely new document to the system to be used in either a
shipment or consolidation.
This feature is found under the menu item
Tools, Create Document. They simply assign the new document a
name and select the image they desire to use for the new
document. Images for all documents are stored inside the Image
folder within Intuitive Transport folder. The new
image should be copied into that file for image selection when
creating a new document. Note that the images must be in word metafile
(.wmf) format to be used in the system. Documents can be created
using Visio software or IIS staff can create new images for
clients as they have a lot of experience in this area.
Once the document has been created they open
it in Customize Mode by selecting from the menu item Tools, Customize
Document. Any existing layout can be copied into the new document
for modification (if it has all the fields needed) or an
entirely new layout can be created by adding the fields to the
document individually and laying them out manually.
Fields can be selected from the systems
fields list (DataFields.txt) if already in the system or a unique field can be added so that
data will not flow to other documents. In the event a new field is required
in all documents, Intuitive Transport gives the
Administrator the ability to add a new system field to the
list. This is then available for use in other documents and reports.
